My first trip in to Forrest City, Arkansas and after checking in, I asked a local if there was a great place to eat near the hotel. She recommended the Ole Sawmill Cafe. When I asked her what type of foods they served, she said... just like a Cracker Barrel and as matter of fact, she said that the Ole Sawmill Cafe was the inspiration for the start of Cracker Barrel... hmmmm..
Well, she was absolutely right. Even the interior layout was similar and the food... well... I dug in to the all you could eat buffet . Everything was incredible... and the price was well below $20....awemazing!!!! Terrific gift shop coupled with perfect southern hospitality. My strongest recommendation for you to grab a fantastic meal in Forrest City,
Everyone was super nice from the first step in the door to the very end of our meal!! Fabulous service, Great Food, and Amazing atmosphere!!! Would highly recommend stopping in if in the area!! It is a local restaurant with a variety of foods and an option of a bountiful menu or an all you can eat buffet. We visited during lunch and we enjoyed every bite!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time! The sheer variety of dishes was staggering, and everything we tried was delicious. From tender meats (ribs, chicken) to succulent seafood, there was something for every palate. The vegetable selection was fresh and flavorful, and the desserts... oh, the desserts! The spread was impressive, with loads of options.
But what truly made our experience stand out was the exceptional quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring our glasses were always full and our plates were never empty.
And to top it off, the on-site gift shop was a delightful surprise! We found some adorable souvenirs to take home, making our evening even more memorable.
